“The Plan to End Repetitive, Localized, Stormwater Flooding in the City of Quitman”
“The City-Wide Hydrology Study and the first of sixteen Proposed Stormwater Improvement Projects are now completed at no cost to Quitman taxpayers. The City of Quitman’s 2025 Stormwater Improvements Plan, the 409 page written report generated as a result of the City-Wide Hydrology Study, outlines a methodical, systematic approach to addressing stormwater flooding based on scientific analysis of Quitman’s drainage basins and existing stormwater infrastructure. A City-Wide Hydrology Study is the gold standard in securing the critical data needed to secure future grants and funding opportunities for the remainder of the Proposed Stormwater Improvement Projects. Full implementation of the 2025 Stormwater Improvements Plan will bring to an end the repetitive, localized, stormwater flooding in the City of Quitman, once and for all.”
